They were very attentive and were able to get us an emergency appointment right away.
Took great care of my son and our shelter that we had to put down 2 years ago and has been wonderful with our beagles and our cat for the past 2 years. Very helpful, caring and informative. So glad I found a good get to take my pets to.
We took our aging Persian cat there. Turns out he is diabetic and has kidney disease. Dr. Good was attentive, empathetic, practical and candid. She did not push for expensive treatment, but empathized with our predicament of paying for treatments that would do little if anything to extend the life, and more importantly, the quality of life of our pet. I am sure of two things: one, that this beloved animal is not my last pet, and two, that Dr. Good is the only vet that will see to the wellness of my animals going forward. She cares more about the animals and their owners than the money. If I had a child who was a veterinarian, I would want him/her to be the kind of vet Dr. Good is.
I emailed Valley Vet after Megan Good took two hours to remove dew claws and dock tails on my Australian Shepherd puppies. She examined the two smallest puppies at my request and found no issues and said they would do fine during the procedure. Two hours later, on a procedure that should have taken half an hour maximum, she told my husband and I that the red tri had an abnormality. I asked where and she said his pallet looked abnormal. I said like a cleft palate and she said no, it's just abnormal. My husband said he wanted to know what the he'll she was talking about and she said he would be fine. This puppy was nursing successfully and taking a supplemental bottle twice a day. A cleft palate puppy can't nurse. She said to hurry them to the car to keep them warm, so I paid the bill of well over $400.00. Upon arrival at home, the red tri was dead. I called Megan Good immediately and she said she knew there was something wrong but didn't know what it was and that puppies often die during the first week. We believe she kept him off the heating pad we provided and that her inability to quickly perform a simple procedure caused him to go into shock. I believe she knew he was dead or dying at the time she put him into the basket to come home. His sister, my other small pup lost 1.5 ounces the next day which was almost 25% of her body weight, she thankfully has turned around and has gained all of her weight plus. I asked to have Dr. Davis call us because Valley Vet will pay the estimated cost of this puppy and refund the cost of the dew claw removal and tail docking on this puppy. No one can be bothered to call. That attitude shows this practice to be unwilling to take responsibility for their employee, Megan Good's action and inability to safely perform a routine procedure. There is no doubt that this beautiful little pup would be alive today if not for Megan Good's lack of action. They just don't give a Damn!
I had to bring my 1.5 year old pup, Luna in for an emergent visit today as I suspected she may have swallowed a button battery. They got me right in, were very warm and caring. I felt Luna was in excellent hands with the female vet we saw. She did a physical exam and took Luna back for X-rays. Results were very quick and thankfully showed that she did not ingest the battery. The total bill for the emergent visit and X-rays was $230 which I thought was a very reasonable amount for an emergent visit on a Saturday on a holiday weekend. I cannot say enough about how comfortable the vet, the tech and the receptionist made me feel as this was my first time going to them.
